BODY WISDOM- What you need to know

The body is an instrument of the mind

The body is an instrument, the mind its function, the witness and reward of its operation. George Santayana

I love these quotes because it is so true and yet how many people do not think of the body as an instrument of the mind? The body will always do, always, what the mind tells it to do. By shifting your mindset from negative to positive you can achieve great health!

In this blog I would like to share with you what each part of your body from the eyebrow to the neck, is “emotionally” responsible for.

The Brow area is the intuitive centre & emotional expression, meaning we move the eyebrows when we talk, creating different facial expressions. The showing of emotions has an influence on relationships.

The Forehead is our intellectual expression. This area is rubbed with the expression of thought.

The Eyes show how we see the world. Your perception, point of view, etc..

The Nose is related to the heart, sense of smell, sexual response, self recognition. Different scents affect your brain in different ways as well as your emotional wellbeing.

The Mouth is survival issues, how we take in nourishment, security and our capacity to take in new ideas. This is your way of verbal expression and communication.

The Jaw holds tension and always indicates a blockage in emotional and verbal communication expression.

The Face, expresses our personality and how we face the world.

The Ears our capacity to hear, to listen. They have acupuncture points for the whole body. What is it that you are unwilling to hear? Are you listening to your inner guidance?

The Throat holds communication issues. Are you telling the truth? Are you expressing your feelings? Are you being true to yourself? Are you holding back?

The Neck this is where thought and emotion come together. Stiffness in the neck is due to withheld statements, experience of stress and anxiety.

When you clear, activate, unblock, your chakras or energy centres you give way to clear energetic flow to come to and through you. Alleviating and reducing anxiety, stress, and giving you back the confidence and ability to freely express yourself! The benefits of energy healing are many. Reiki and EFT are two major techniques which I have used for years and I have many wonderful testimonials.

Please like, comment and share my blog.

Thank you,

REIKI= Love, Health, Balance, Happiness

When I decided to become a Reiki practitioner and teacher it was because Reiki truly changed my life. I felt  peace within, was able to let go of worry, became more connected with my higher self and gained a better understanding of my environment and the people in my life. I learned how to really listen not only to myself but also the people around me. I am now more patient, understanding, open-minded, relaxed, happy! etc.

I could go on and on about all the different ways Reiki has touched my life. Physically I feel great, never too tired I always have energy. Mentally I am better than ever.  If you are someone who is familiar with this Energy healing technique you will agree with me that it is indeed life-changing for the better! If you are new experiencing this practice or have never tried it before, I really encourage you to keep up with your sessions and to try it for the first time and give it a chance you will be glad that you did.

Whether you are a believer or not that Energy Healing works let me tell you that Reiki will give you its benefits regardless. How? you may ask... Well, Reiki is universal energy and we are ENERGY! Originated in  Japan centuries ago by Mikao Usui, a Japanese monk who based his healing techniques from various Asian healing practices. It is a fact  that disease is caused by imbalances and blockages of our vital energy centers or chakras and that correcting these imbalances promotes healing. As you know the body can heal itself. Reiki is one technique that Will do this for your body, mind and soul. It will promote healing from deep within.

For more information on Reiki and successful stories refer to my website, FB page  and blogs.

Find Your Balance

Hello,

Lets begin this blog by revisiting Yin/Yang. Lets divide our body in two, the left side is the Yin, our feminine side & the right side is the Yang, our masculine side. Yin is our feelings & Yang is our logic. How important do you think it is to have Yin/Yang well cleared and balanced? Very!

When we go through difficult situations in life like a break up, death of a loved one, loss of something meaningful to us, for e.g., We tend to react, in different ways of course trying to deal with the pain. Some of us vent and confide in a trusted friend or shrink. Some of us hold it in, hide it inside, lock it away and throw away the key. Some of us may turn to drinking or other addictions to numb the pain. Others turn to working out, which is great for releasing the stress, BUT does not heal the root of the problem, the emotion. Others turn to their work making work their only and very first priority in life. BUT what we must understand and learn now is that when we do these things, react in these ways, we are NOT healing the emotion! We are NOT healing the emotions that will sit on our energy centers causing us more pain and illnesses.

So lets see which emotions sit where and some of the side effects you will feel as a result of not healing the emotion.

Throat center is our communication center. Right to speak and be heard. When blocked/hurt, we will experience lack of trust, self expression issues, lack of nurturing, to name a few.. Also Thyroid problems.

Heart center is our social identity, the right to be loved and love. We may feel grief, sadness, loss, sorrow, lack of love and many more negative feelings.

Fear center is our power center, ego identity, right to act. We hold fears and phobias here. We feel loss of control. Fear of losing control. The big “R”, Relationships. Abusive authority. Imbalance of power in a relationship. All this baggage will cause all kinds of health issues and chronic fatigue. Liver and spleen issues.

Then we have the Old Stuff center. Family sexual issues and creative center. Is our emotional identity, our right to Feel. Childhood conditioning. Violation of the body and personal space. Something done to us, taken away from us. Molestation, abuse, rape.  Trapped emotions in this area can cause problems in the gut, digestion and affect the female cycle. Unresolved emotions will set like cement here. We can get hip and spine problems as well.

Last is our Survival center, physical identity, our right to have. When blocked we feel weak, like we will not survive a life threatening incident. We have survival issues, violations related to surviving like accidents, abuse, rape. Impotence, frigidity. Feeling of abandonment, self rejection, judgement by others, self betrayal, betrayal by someone trusted, pain in the heart.

Problems with right side legs/knees/ankles can reflect feelings of lack of support in career, finances. Can also be a way of showing you to take stock of the situation. Problems with left side legs/knees/ankles can reflect feelings of lack of emotional support. Old injuries that still cause pain are due to unresolved emotional stuff and can be evident for years!

Please start healing your emotions deep within.

Namaste,

Samantha

My Spiritual side and meeting with Gail Thackray!

Hi,

I have written a few blogs on here but I have not blogged about the Spiritual side of myself. As you know, I am a holistic health practitioner, I guide past life regressions and I do intuitive readings with angel cards. Aside from my educational work at the school. I am on social media, I share my blogs, my experiences and some stories with my followers.

My intention is to guide, teach, inspire and serve you.

On this blog I want to share about my first time (which was this past Sunday), at the Body, Soul, Spirit Expo. I went specifically to attend a past life workshop and meet my spirit guide through hypnosis of course. I already know how to do regressions but I wanted to learn the way to meet my spirit guide. The experience was great and I got exactly what I needed.

After the workshop I went into the expo to walk around and a booth really caught my eye. I stayed around and made eye contact with this lady who at the time I had no idea who she was but there was a line up of people waiting to talk with her and I watched her spend a few minutes with each person and it seemed as if she was blessing them.

Her booth had a few books that she had published and one of the titles really caught my eye as it was about meeting John of God. Also I saw that she was a Reiki Master and well we now have that in common I said to myself, so I decided right then to stand in line and meet this woman who also had the privilege to be in the presence of this holy man, John of God. John of God lives in Brazil and he is a medium, a psychic surgeon, a healer, thousands of people go visit him and report miracles.

My turn came to meet this lady, she held my hands, told me a few things about myself and my healing work, my future, amongst other things that were wow and super useful for me and my work. I did not say a thing. She was right on, I was overwhelmed. She blessed me. I know I will see her again. Her name is Gail Thackray, a psychic medium, Reiki Master yay! author, speaker, TV star! Meeting her made my day, I know it was in my “cards” to meet her. I was so excited! There is more I want to write about my meeting with her but that is material for another blog. I did ask her "How did you and how can I meet John of God" she replied " I can take you to him", she told me she can take me to him. I know this is why I went to the expo that day to open this new door for myself, I was guided to go, to meet her, and ask. My next blog I will share more on this.

I wanted to share this experience, write it down, put it out there because I feel amazing about it.

For more information and to book an appointment with me pls. go on my website and click on Book a Session, below you will find my services and contact information.

Namaste,

Samantha

Body Wisdom Part 2

Hello!

Welcome to my Body Wisdom Part 2 blog. There is  great information here that I am glad to share with you. Last blog I ended with the neck.. lets continue today with the rest of our body parts. Here it goes:

~ Shoulders: We all know when we stress we carry it on our shoulders (and back). You might feel as though your life is too stressful or that you put yourself last on your list of priorities. Woman in particular store  a lot here!

~ Chest: Our chest pays the price when we have relationship issues, heart/love emotions, respiration and circulation.. Also self esteem and feelings of worthlessness, suppressed emotions and feeling controlled by others.

~ Solar Plexus: Power issues, emotional control issues, power and wisdom centre.

~ Abdomen: This is our seat of emotions! Our deepest feelings sit here. Centre of sexuality and digestive system.

~ Genitals: Related to Root Chakra, survival issues, fear of life.

~ Arms and hands: Are extensions of the heart centre, expresses love and emotion.

~ Upper arm: Strength to act, fear of being discouraged. Elbow, connects the strength of the upper arm to the action of the forearm.

~ Hands: Right hand is  associated with giving and receiving. Left hand and the details of life represents holding onto reality, reaching goals, fear of action. What issues can you not handle?

~ Back: Is where we store all our unconscious emotions and excess tension. Associated with stored anger and resentment, as well as money issues. Upper back we store anger. Lower back, man in particular store a lot here due to the storing of emotions in the belly.

~Gluteus muscles: Holding in emotions- not releasing and letting go, anal blockage.

~ Thigh: Personal strength, trust in your own abilities.

~ Knees: Fear of death and fear of death of old self or ego. Fear of change.

~ Lower leg: Enables movement toward goals, fear of action. Ankles create balance. Do you need to change direction? Is your life unbalanced?

~ Feet: Associated with security and survival, connected with reading our goals and completing tasks, fear of taking the next step and feeling grounded.

Pretty interesting I'd say! Knowing this helps you get to know your body at a deeper level and understand it more now. Pay attention to what your body tries to tell you and keep an open mind when to comes to ways to heal your body. Alcohol and drugs are not the answer and it blocks you way more! I am here to help you and guide you. Do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. I am glad to help in any way I can.

Namaste,

Samantha

Where we Hold our Emotions

Hello,

I thought I would share this information on my website as I find it very helpful and in all honesty it was not until I became a Reiki Practitioner that I became more  aware of this. I know you will find it helpful.

In our body we hold many emotions as you know.... but the emotions that the front of our body and the back of our body holds are different. Same as right side of the body and left side, top and bottom hold different emotions.

~Front of our Body is our "social mask". It contains the emotional issues of daily life, love, sadness, joy, concern and so on. Heart ache is stored in the chest, between the ribs and inside of the shoulders. A lot of emotion is stored in the belly area AKA Solar Plexus.

~Back of the Body stores our unconscious thoughts and emotions. It's where we hide issues that we are NOT prepared to handle. It is our disposal area for all the things we do not want to acknowledge. A lot of fear and anger is stored between the shoulder blades, and along the spinal muscle on either side of the spine.

Now we are going to get into the YIN/YANG :).

~Right side of the Body is Masculine: rational, assertive, Yang, male aspects of character & holds anger.

~Left side of the Body is Feminine: Intuitive, receptive, passive, Yin, feminine aspects of character & holds sadness. The key here is to have our Yin/Yang equally balanced. There are breathing exercises to help us achieve this and also of course, alignment of our energy centres. Regular Reiki, Yoga practice can get us there :).

~Top and Bottom Body Division: Small top and large bottom finds difficulty in socializing, self assertion, taking action, expressing thoughts and ideas.

~Large top and small bottom: Overdeveloped assertiveness, social, expressive, extroverted. Active personality and lack of strength and courage concerning stability and support.

~Limbs: allow as to move in space. Most active parts of the body in regard to the outside world.

~Torso: is the Core of the body! Very innactive regarding the outside world and it tends to be more reflective and focused on the self.

I hope you found this blog interesting and helpful. Please share your thoughts and comments below or email me with any questions you may have. My next blog will be on Body Wisdom.

Namaste,

Samantha

6th Chakra ~ Heaven's Palace

Hello!

Hope you had a great week. It's time for me to share with you all I know about this famous chakra most people refer to as "The Third Eye".  This is Heaven's Palace, the source of the rhythm of life. This is the chakra of spirituality, intuition, wisdom and insight. We call it the third eye because it is a part of us that can see on the spiritual level rather than on the physical plane. Through this chakra we can see beyond the physical world. If you had ever had an insight into a difficult problem or an intuitive feeling about something coming in the future, then you have experienced your 6th chakra.

When activated, it provides a " knowingness"  about realms of reality that are beyond comprehension of the rational mind. When this 6th chakra is open you may experience psychic and telepathic abilities. Another aspect of this chakra is the intellect which includes the imaginative and rational aspects of the mind.  Often our mind fails to understand things beyond the 5 senses of the body, with this effectively blocking one's natural intuitive abilities. Many people posses a highly activated but CLOSED sixth chakra.

One very important milestone for the sixth chakra is the perception on one's life purpose. You will know you have found this thing when you find the activity that makes you happy mentally, emotionally and spiritually! After you have found your life's purpose, you can form a specific vision to fulfill it.

Thank you for reading my blog! I love the feedback I get from you and how many people it reaches.

Namaste,

Samantha

4th Chakra~ The Mind Palace

Hello and welcome back to my blog on Chakras.

Today I am going to tell you about our 4th Chakra called The Mind Palace, seat of the soul. Love and compassion residing within giving rise to honesty, diligence, responsibility coming together with dignity.

This is our heart chakra. The seat of our emotional mind, it is through this 4th chakra that we can experience some of the most joyous aspects of life. When fully open it sends out rays of loving energy that can touch anyone in our immediate environment.

The 3 previous chakras I talked about before, relate to the physical body, the 4th chakra takes us beyond the limits of our personal self, from here we can begin to reach out beyond the egoic mind to experience connection and oneness with others. Now, this can be difficult as we experience the hurts that are part of the process, but the rewards of doing so are great. Almost everyone will experience some sort of heart blockage at some point in their lives. It is the natural result of our individual needs coming into conflict with those of others. Life is a constant process of opening and reopening the heart chakra. This chakra is highly reactive, opening and closing according to our responses to the world around us. When we build up walls that keep our heart shut away and protected, we fall victim to sadness, loneliness and arrogance. The key to keeping the fourth chakra open is positivity. As you practice keeping your 4th chakra open, differences will disappear. You will then know the power of your own divinity.

I hope you enjoyed the blog, the information given and learning about an important energy centre in your body.

Namaste,

Samantha

3rd Chakra~ The Sun Lotus

Hello again! Welcome back to my blog. I am excited to introduce you to the 3rd chakra! This is one of my favourites and as you read along you will understand why. So, enjoy. A lotus flower in the solar plexus, loving, eating, drinking, working, living... this is the master of the desire for life! It shines brightly in you when you seek a beautiful life!

The energy from this chakra pushes us forward toward the fulfilment of of our dreams and goals. When this chakra is activated and healthy, we are then aware of our life's purpose and  are able to move in that direction. The third chakra is a vital governing force in your life. Your will is governed by this chakra, before you can do or make anything in the world you first must have the WILL to make it happen. The 3rd chakra is the motivator of the 6th chakra which is the seat of your intellect. Many people have a lot of great ideas and many dreams but because their 3rd chakra is blocked they have difficulty making their dreams, ideas  and goals into a reality in the physical world. This blockage results from unresolved issues regarding authority and empowerment. This chakra can also become overactive resulting in a highly aggressive approach to self creation and a lack of concern for the needs of others. Overwork and obsession with status and material success are also dysfunctioning of this chakra. The best way to ensure the health of the 3rd chakra is to develop a strong personal identity rooted in your higher self.

I can not stress enough the importance of having all our chakras well balanced! By reading my blog and having an understanding of what each chakra is and the impact that it has on your body, mind and soul, you will be able to detect the areas that you need help with the most. Which of your chakras are blocked, overactive or healthy. Reiki is a sure way to balance the chakras, clear blockages and much more.

Namaste!

Samantha
